한국화의 아름다움을 담은 한국 지도를 새롭게 제작했습니다!

이 지도는 한국 미술의 아름다움을 전세계에 알리고 더불어 우리나라의 5천년 역사를 알리고자 제작되었습니다.

이 지도는 사실 겨자씨와 같은 작은 아이디어에서 시작되었습니다.

해외에서 많은 외국인들이 동양의 아름다움을 보기 위해서

일본의 그림을 사서 본인의 집에 붙여놓지만 한국화는 전혀 찾을 수 없다고 합니다.

그래서 조금이나마 우리나라 미술의 아름다움을 알려보자는 아이디어를 담아 이 지도를 통해 구현해 보았습니다.

이 지도는 앞으로 다른 나라를 방문해서 우리나라를 알리는 계획이 있거나,

해외에 가지 않더라도 우리나라에 거주중인 많은 외국인들에게

우리나라를 바로 알릴 한국인 회원들에게 배포할 예정입니다.

한국 지도의 5천년 역사 소개 내용을 다음과 같이 공개 합니다! :)

Korea is located in the Korean peninsula, where maritime culture and continental culture intertwine with each other. Like the formation of fishing grounds where cold and warm current meet, Korea's geographical location is qualified to become the point where international politics, economy, and cultural issues can coexist. Korea, with its desirable location, will create a new culture that shall influence the world. Within the 5000 years of Korean history, from its very first nation, Gojoseon(2333 - 108 BC) to the 21st century Korea, we can easily see that this way of thinking holds still true. Korea’s first nation, Gojoseon bore the national ideal of “Hongik Ingan,” a concept of benefiting the world through love and service. 5C Goguryeo kingdom (37 BC - AD668) became one of the strongest countries in the East Asian region of its time with its pride of being the center of the world and its cooperation with neighboring countries. In addition, Goryeo kingdom (918- 1392) was the first nation to invent the movable metal type printing that changed the communication system of mankind, contributing to the further development of world culture. Now Korea serves the world by becoming the third largest overseas volunteer provider in the world. You will certainly hear more about 21st century Korea’s dream through its warm and passionate young people. Korea is geographically located in the center of East Asia! 5000 years as a strong cultural power made Korea a melting pot of continental and maritime culture! The passion of young Koreans, who wish to change the world, will make 21st Korea's vision come true.

Gojoseon Kingdom(2333 - 108 BC) 고조선

The Spirit of the National Foundation: Devotion to the Welfare of all mankind (Hongik Ingan) Gojoseon, the first ancient Korean kingdom, was founded upon “Hongik Ingan” as its national ideal, which means changing the world beautifully through love and service instead of violence and war. Prime Minister Kong Bin of Wei dynasty, a powerful state of ancient China neighboring Gojoseon, wrote the following in Dongi Yeoljeon about Gojoseon. “This country is rather large but not arrogant about itself; its army is rather strong but does not invade another country.” Furthermore, he recorded that his ancestor, “Kong Zi (Confucius),” was willing to reside in this country. Republic of Korea now serves the world as the third largest volunteer dispatching nation. Gojoseon’s national spirit of devotion to the welfare of all mankind continues to be demonstrated by the youths of present Korea.

고조선의 건국이념: 홍익인간, 널리 인간을 이롭게 한다.

힘이나 경제력으로 세상을 지배하는 것이 아니라 사랑과 봉사로 세상을 아름답게 하는 홍익인간정신은 수천년전 대한민국 최초 국가 고조선의 건국이념이다. 이러한 건국이념이 실현된 고조선에 대해 위(魏)나라 재상 공빈(孔斌)은 동이열전에 다음과 같이 기록하였다. “이 나라는 비록 크나 스스로 교만하지 않으며 그 병력은 비록 강하나 남의 나라를 침범하지 않는다.” 또한 그의 선대인 ‘공자’도 거처하고자 하였다고 적고 있다. 대한민국은 현재 세계 3번째 자원봉사자 파견국으로 지구촌을 섬기고 있다. 대한민국 최초 국가였던 고조선의 홍익인간 정신이 오늘의 한국 청년들을 통해 실현되고 있다.

Silla Kingdom(57 BC - AD 935) 신라

The System of Silla Kingdom: The Establishment of a Thousand Year Kingdom

Silla kingdom is one of the few kingdoms in world history which lasted for more than one thousand years. Queen Seondeok (Reign 632 - 647), the first queen in Korean history, laid the groundwork for the thousand years of Silla rule. Queen Seondeok overcame the stereotypes held by a patriarchal society that woman could not be a good ruler, ascending to the throne, ruling wisely, and selecting fit individuals for higher positions in the government. In the reign of Queen Seondeok, Silla was transformed from the weakest power of the Korean Peninsula to a powerful prospering kingdom which at last would unite the peninsula. Modern Korean women are participating in and contributing to many fields including politics, economy, society, and culture. A thousand years of Silla’s system and Queen Seondeok’s spirit have continued to greatly inspire and challenge modern Korean women.

신라의 시스템: 천년 신라왕국을 건설하다.
신라는 전 세계 역사상 드물게 1천년 이상의 왕조를 지속한나라이다. 그런데 신라 천년 왕조의 기틀을 마련한 이는 다름아닌 대한민국 역사상 최초의 여왕인 선덕여왕(? - 647)이다. 선덕여왕은 당시 남성만 왕위에 오르던 고정관념을 깨고 즉위하여, 선정(해석에서 빠짐)과 뛰어난 인재등용으로 고구려, 백제 3국 중 가장 힘이 약했던 신라가 삼국을 통일할 수 있는 기틀을 마련하였다. 오늘날 대한민국 여성들은 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화 전 영역에 도전해 변화의 물결을 일으키고 있다. 천년 신라왕국을 이룬 선덕여왕과 신라의 시스템은 21세기 대한민국의 여성들에게 큰 도전이 되고 있다.

Goguryeo Kingdom(37 BC - AD 668) 고구려

Dream of the Goguryeo Kingdom: An empire of the Son of Heaven, Communicating With the World with pride as the Center of the World. King Gwanggaeto the Great of Goguryeo kingdom was one of the most powerful kings in the five thousand years of Korean history; his gravestone is engraved by the record of Goguryeo’s founding father as “the Son of Heaven.” Goguryeo’s pride as an empire of “The Son of Heaven” had brought about a rapid growth of the country as one of the most powerful countries in 5th century East Asia. However, the dream of Goguryeo was not exclusive to others. Instead, the kingdom expanded through communication and collaboration with its neighboring kingdoms. Goguryeo’s dream has continued to inspire the present Republic of Korea whose dream is to become the center of Asia, a gateway to northeast Asia in 21st century, and a country that shares its dream and extends a hand of friendship to people from all over the world.

고구려의 꿈: 천자의 제국, 세상의 중심이라는 자부심으로 세계와 소통하다
5천년 대한민국의 역사 중 가장 강력한 왕 중 한 명이었던 고구려 광개토태왕의 능비에는 고구려의 시조를 ‘천제의 아들’이라고 적고 있다. 천자의 제국이라는 고구려의 자부심은 고구려를 5세기 동북아시아의 가장 강력한 나라로 성장시켰다. 그러나 이 같은 자부심에서 비롯된 고구려의 꿈은 배타적이지 않았다. 오히려 주변의 여러 국가들과 교류하고 협력하며 확장되었다. 고구려의 이 같은 꿈과 자부심은 아시아의 중심, 동북아의 관문, 전세계 모든 이들과 꿈과 우정을 나누는 나라를 희망하는 21세기 대한민국에 큰 영감을 주고 있다. 
 

Baekje Kingdom(18 BC –AD 660) 백제

Culture of Baekje Kingdom: Spread of Baekje’s Culture

Baekje kingdom, which held the center of the Korean peninsula for hundreds of years, became an international kingdom connecting China, Korea, and Japan. Furthermore, it grew as the center of Northeast Asia’s cultural exchange, actively exchanging cultural values and goods with the rest of Asia including Vietnam and India. Especially, Baekje has contributed to the prosperity of the Asuka civilization in Japan by introducing Chinese Classics, Confucianism, astronomy, calendar, and geographical knowledge to 7th century Japan. Likewise, the Republic of Korea, the successor of magnificent Baekje culture, is exchanging its cultural values and heritages with its neighbors and the entire world; many people around the world beyond Japan, China, and Asia, love Korean culture, creating a new revolutionary term, “the Korean Wave” .

백제의 문화: 백제의 문화 세계로 퍼져나가다.
수 백 년 동안 한반도의 중앙을 차지하였던 백제는 중국-한반도-일본을 연결하며 국제적인 국가로 성장하였다. 나아가 베트남, 인도 등 아시아 전역과 활발히 교류하며 동북아 문명교류의 중심지가 되었다. 특히 백제는 일본에 한학과 유학을 전하고 천문, 역법, 지리 등을 전하였으며 7세기 일본에 최초로 불교를 전파하며 일본의 아스카 문화가 꽃피는데 많은 기여를 하였다. 이같이 고대 동북아는 물론 여러 아시아인들의 마음을 사로잡았던 백제의 문화는 오늘날 일본, 중국, 아시아를 넘어 세계인들에게 사랑 받고 있는 한류로 이어지고 있다. 
 

Gaya Kingdom(100~1 BC - AD 562) 가야

Gaya’s Iron: Blooming of the Prosperous Iron Culture in Northeast Asia

Gaya kingdom, located on the important strategic location in the middle of the south coast, Nakdonggang River delta, played a leading role in intermediating trade between China, the Korean peninsula, and Japan. Gaya also formed a unique arts culture with its progressive and open spirit. For an example, they produced clay wares and invented the Gayageum, one of the most iconic Korean string instruments. Above all, Gaya developed an outstanding iron manufacturing industry and was renowned as the center of international trade through its production of abundant and high-quality iron. The fame of the ancient Gaya kingdom as a peerless producer of iron in Northeast Asia has continued to be the pride of the Republic of Korea, which can be seen in the manner it has transformed itself by creating one of the world’s best iron and steel manufacturing industries.

가야의 철: 동아시아의 화려한 철기문화를 꽃피우다
한반도 남쪽 낙동강 유역에 자리 잡은 가야는 천혜의 입지 조건을 바탕으로 중국과 한반도 일본을 연결하는 국제무역의 중심지가 되었다. 가야는 또한 진취적이고 개방적인 생각으로 토기제작 등 독특한 예술문화를 형성하였는데 한국의 대표적인 현악기인 가야금을 발명하기도 하였다. 무엇보다 가야는 풍부하고 질 좋은 철의 생산으로 국제무역중심지로써 명성을 굳건히 하는 한편 이를 바탕으로 뛰어난 철기문화를 꽃피웠다. 고대 동아시아의 화려한 철의 왕국 가야의 명성은 21세기 세계적인 제철기업 포스코, 세계 최고 조선업 대한민국의 명성으로 이어지고 있다.

Balhae Kingdom(698-926) 발해

Balhae’s Historical Consciousness: The Succession of Goguryeo and the Creation of Independent History

Goguryeo kingdom, collapsed in 668 AD, lost its territory, culture, and people, but its spirit had revived in the foundation of Balhae kingdom. Balhae had identified itself with firm historical consciousness as well as historical legitimacy, inheriting Goguryeo’s territory and an ancient kingdom of Korea, a predecessor of Goguryeo, Buyeo’s customs. Like her predecessors, Balhae achieved bilateral relationship with China, Tang dynasty in her time. The spirit of Balhae has taken root and has been together with Korean people. This spirit had enabled Korean people, when Koreans had suffered from 35 years of Japan’s forceful occupation driven by imperialistic ambitions, to constantly and possibly resist to tyrannous Japanese ruling. Despite of many challenges and difficulties, Koreans had continued her independent history by establishing a provisional government in Shanghai, China, and creating an army for national independence against Japanese imperialism. Likewise, the spirit of Balhae is continually breathing in the hearts of Koreans, today.

발해의 역사의식: 고구려를 계승해 독자적인 역사를 만들다.
668년 패망한 고구려는 영토와 문화를 잃고, 국민도 모두 흩어졌지만 그 정신은 발해의 건국으로 이어졌다. 발해는 “고구려 옛 땅을 수복하고 부여(고구려의 전신이 되었던 부족국가)의 유속을 물려받았다”는 확고한 역사의식으로 당시 열강이었던 당나라와 대등한 교류를 주도해나갔다. 한민족은 일본의 그릇된 제국주의열망으로 35년간 일본에 강제정렴되어 많은 어려움을 겪었다. 그러나 이러한 어려움 속에서도 중국 상해에 임시정부를 수립하고, 독립군을 창설하는 등 자주적인 역사를 세워나갔다. 이는 한민족에게 발해와 같은 강한 역사의식이 있었기 때문이다.
 

Goryeo Dynasty (918~1392) 고려

Goryeo’s Technology: The Great Invention which Transformed the Informational System for Humanity

The world’s leading media such as BBC, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and Time Magazine labeled “Movable Metal Type” printing as the greatest invention in human history which has transformed the lives of humanity in great extent in the past thousand years. The introduction of the movable metal type printing allowed the faster and easier popularization of knowledge and information, which was previously prevented because it was monopolized by the privileged. It was a significant event that totally reshaped the world history. Goryeo is the first country to invent this movable metal type printing process, which is confirmed through the writing of Jikji, the oldest movable metal type printed book in the world, printed in 1377. After Goryeo, this technology has spread throughout Japan and other regions in Asia, resulting in the development of humanity’s technology and knowledge. This creative technology of Goryeo has continued in the present creative powers of Korean technology as it leads both the Information Technology (IT) and Smart revolution in the 21st century.

고려의 기술: 인류의 정보체계를 바꾼 위대한 발명
세계 유수 언론은 1천년 동안 인류를 바꾼 가장 위대한 발명으로 금속활자를 꼽았다. 금속활자의 등장은 특권층이 독점하던 지식과 정보를 대중화하는 계기가 되었으며, 이로써 세계사는 크게 바뀌게 되었다. 고려는 이러한 금속활자를 최초로 발명한 나라이다. 고려의 금속활자인쇄술은 1377년 간행된 현존하는 최고의 금속활자본 직지를 통해 확인할 수 있다. 이후 이 위대한 기술은 일본과 아시아 여러 지역에 보급되어 인류의 발전을 가져왔다. 이 같은 고려의 창조적 기술은 21세기 IT 혁명과 스마트 혁명을 주도해 나가는 대한민국의 창조적 기술로 이어지고 있다.
 

Joseon Dynasty (1392~1910) 조선

Political Philosophy: Minbon politics, The Basis of a Nation is its People

The political philosophy during the 500 years of Joseon dynasty lies in “Minbon” politics, which values its people the most. The power of the king is given by the heaven and its people, and every political decision is made in the best interests of the people. King Sejong the Great (1397 – 1450) is the best ruler who embodied this Minbon political philosophy. He established many policies that improved the commoners’ standard of living and protected the weak. For example, he made policies which give 100 days of maternity leave for indentured female servants and 30 days of maternity leave for spouses who were from the lowest social level. His spirit of love and service to his people explains why his magnificent achievements in politics, economy, culture, and military including the invention of Korean alphabet for his people were possible. Joseon dynasty’s political philosophy of prioritizing the people over anything else has become the foundation behind the rapid democratization process of Korea in the 20th century.

정치철학: 민본정치, 나라의 근본은 백성이다.
조선왕조 500년의 정치철학은 백성을 근본으로 하는 민본정치이다. 왕의 권력은 하늘과 백성이 내린 것으로 믿으며 모든 정치행위의 주체를 백성으로 생각했다. 이러한 조선왕조의 민본정치철학을 가장 잘 구현한 통치자는 세종대왕(1397-1450)이다. 세종실록에는 오랜 가뭄으로 백성들의 고통이 심해지자 세종대왕은 이들과 고통을 함께 하고자 궁궐 안에 초가집을 짓고 그 곳에 거처하였다는 기록이 있다.  그의 백성에 대한 사랑과 섬김의 정신은 백성을 위해 글을 만드는 등 정치, 경제, 문화, 국방 전분야에 걸쳐 훌륭한 업적을 이루는 원동력이 되었다. 국민을 최우선으로 생각하는 이러한 조선왕조의 정치철학은 20세기 대한민국이 세계에서 최단시간에 민주화를 이룬 토대가 되었다.
